Job description

Role Purpose: Responsible for drilling and well stimulation chemicals business growth, customer relationship management, and executing marketing plans within the O&G chemical industry. Accountable for delivering the chemical product’s sales target and the sales goal objectives. Additionally, managing key customer accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting the sales department. Chemical Key Account Sales plays a crucial role in maintaining strong relationships with customers, analyzing market trends, resolving issues, and contributing to the company goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Develop working relationships with customers to understand their specific requirements and preferences.
  • Implement key account management plans for strategic customers.

Sales and Market Analysis:

  • Monitor sales growth and competitor activity.

Issue Resolution and Customer Satisfaction:

  • Address customer complaints promptly and effectively, resolving issues before escalation.

Sales Team Management:

  • Support company sales department to achieve and surpass sales targets.

Financial Management:

  • Review contracts and tenders to identify and address risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Product Development and Supply Chain Support:

  • Provide technical expertise.
  • Assist in sourcing alternate raw material sources to expand the range of chemical products.
  • Support to qualify the company chemicals products in Saudi, GCC, and MENA countries.

Sales Control & Reporting:

  • Prepare and submit reports on overall project’s sales performance and present to management on a regular basis as per management request.

Team Management:

  • Manage the department staff on dimensions including time management, quality of work, etc., ensuring that tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently.
  • Identify the training and developmental priorities of the department in consultation with the department and Human Resources department and ensure that staff are adequately skilled to meet future requirements.
  • Coach and mentor staff as appropriate to improve performance and ensure they keep abreast of technical developments, relevant regulations, and best practices.

Necessary Knowledge and Experience:

  • A minimum of 4-5 years of overall experience in an equivalent position.
  • Commercially astute with a strong project/services business emphasis.
  • Product knowledge abilities.
  • Product, category & channel management skills.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Strong vision, analytical, communication, and human management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited resources.
  • Strong understanding of customer needs and competition.
  • Effective planning and organizing skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, anticipate changing circumstances, and implement recommendations.
  • Leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Very good ability in preparing reports and presentations.

Education and Certification Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in BD & Marketing or a relevant discipline or equivalent.
