Job Overview
To develop, execute, and coordinate sales activities within assigned Key Accounts to achieve the strategic goals of the channel, contribute to overall Retail sales targets, and ensure alignment with the Company’s strategies. This role spans three levels—Assistant Key Account Manager, Key Account Manager, and Senior Key Account Manager—and reports to either the RSM or the National Account Senior Manager, depending on the account being managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for assigned Key Accounts as per the Company’s policies and objectives, ensuring alignment with role-level.
- Meet monthly collection targets for assigned accounts, ensuring no outstanding amounts beyond agreed payment terms, as per the company’s collection policy.
- Prepare and submit accurate reconciliation reports, including annual reconciliations, ensuring compliance with policies and up-to-date figures.
- Develop strategic plans to achieve sales targets by customer and category group, aligned with the channel’s share of overall sales targets and Company strategies.
- Build a comprehensive coverage plan to ensure 100% customer reach and meet distribution targets across assigned accounts and regions.
- Lead or support (based on role level) the preparation, negotiation, and execution of contracts and Business Development Agreements (BDAs) with assigned customers, achieving optimal terms and full implementation.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance, to enhance channel operations and drive sales growth within assigned Key Accounts.
- Develop and manage customer-specific budgets and forecasts, ensuring sales goals and profit objectives are achieved for the assigned Key Accounts.
- Conduct investigations and provide actionable recommendations in cases of operational challenges or incidents, ensuring swift resolution.
Analyze sales performance, prepare forecasts, and recommend account-specific goals to align with regional and channel targets.
- Collaborate in the development and execution of the Division’s ABCs and OKRs, ensuring alignment with other Functions' leadership.
- Make critical decisions that support the Division's strategic and tactical direction.
- Develop plans for respective functions/teams, providing inputs that align with and support the Division’s goals and objectives.
- Delegate tactical responsibilities to emerging leaders within the Division, enhancing succession planning.
- Measure and track relevant OKRs and metrics to ensure goal achievement and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Set clear performance objectives, offer necessary support, and regularly evaluate and provide feedback to direct reports for continuous development.
- Actively participate in the identification and recruitment of key talent for the function.
- Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor workflow.
- Create opportunities for team members to contribute to improvement, innovation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Own the budgeting cycle and proactively contribute to the budgeting process.
- Manage departments effectively within budget, providing accurate reports on progress and challenges encountered.
- Formulate strategies that drive positive financial impact while mitigating financial and operational risks.
- Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring consistent and controlled execution of daily tasks.
- Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Foster a high-performance work environment and actively promote company values.
Minimum Requirements
- 4 - 6 years of relevant experience.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
