About the job
As a Translator for our Riyadh office, you will support the accurate translation of business-related presentations, proposals, and texts covering topics such as market studies, business strategy, company organization, human resources, etc.
Reporting directly to the Translation Team Lead in Riyadh, you will have the opportunity to express your individuality and receive recognition for your contributions, enabling you to make a meaningful impact as a true Kearney Original.
Key responsibilities
- Translate and edit business and legal documents with clarity and accuracy, maintaining high quality standards.
- Produce translations directly in MS PowerPoint and MS Word, including formatting adjustments as needed, with an excellent working knowledge of PowerPoint.
- Translate a variety of documents from English to Arabic (primarily) and Arabic to English within tight deadlines.
- Proofread and edit final translated documents to ensure grammatical correctness and clarity.
- Participate in client meetings with the case team when necessary to discuss translation projects and clarify requirements.
- Potentially work at the client’s location as required.
- Utilize translation memory software to ensure consistency and enhance efficiency.
- Use specialized dictionaries and reference materials to find the most accurate terminology, considering country and client specifics, and research technical terms as needed.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of all translated materials.
- Perform any other translation-related services as requested by Kearney.
Who you are

- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in English translation or equivalent.
- Have at least 2 years of professional translation experience (English-Arabic/Arabic-English), preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess strong knowledge of Arabic syntax, grammar, and semantics for proofreading and editing.
- Can translate up to 2,000 words per day with attention to detail.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Possess a blend of business acumen and industry understanding, ideally in consulting.
- Are pragmatic, open-minded, flexible, and able to handle occasional out-of-hours work.
- Can engage with senior stakeholders and operate professionally under pressure while maintaining confidentiality.
- Are capable of prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment, working independently, and taking initiative.
- Manage their workload responsibly, especially when working remotely.
- Are team players willing to contribute to internal initiatives.
- Have strong interpersonal skills, tact, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Are proficient in MS Office, with PowerPoint as a must, along with Word and Excel. Experience in translation services is a plus.
