Junior Software Engineer

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Junior Software Engineer, you’ll contribute to the development of our platform by supporting innovative solutions under the guidance of senior team members. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the development of features and products that help businesses access financing in the fintech space.
• Contributing to backend development with Django and other Python-based technologies to build reliable systems.
• Supporting the creation of APIs using frameworks like FastAPI to enable integrations and enhance platform functionality.
• Working with databases, including relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL or MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB), to manage and query data under guidance, ensuring performance and accuracy.
• Collaborating with team members, including QA, to test and ensure the reliability of systems.
• Learning and applying new technologies, including GenAI tools, to support innovation in our platform.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking enthusiastic engineers who are excited to solve problems, learn in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to a mission-driven team. The ideal candidate will have:

• 1+ years of experience in software engineering (including internships, academic projects, or personal projects) with a eagerness to build scalable solutions.
• Basic proficiency in Python backend development, with exposure to or willingness to learn Django and FastAPI.
• Fundamental understanding of databases, including relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL, and an interest in learning about NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies like ReactJS or NextJS is a plus but not required.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) or tools like Docker is a bonus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to design efficient and maintainable code with mentorship.
• Interest in fintech workflows, such as payments or credit systems, is a plus.
