Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum 6 years experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field with a focus on IT environments and infrastructure.
Education and Certifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is required.
- Minimum one certification in EDR, SIEM, or Vulnerability Management tools is required. Examples include: CySA+, NSE 4, Splunk Core, CISSP-OPS, GSEC, and BTL1.
IT Systems and Applications Cybersecurity
- Provide engineering support for IT cybersecurity operations, including deployment, operation, maintenance, and documentation of cybersecurity tools.
- Maintain cybersecurity of IT server and application environments throughout their lifecycle, ensuring protection, compliance, and risk management.
- Develop software within *Nix OS's (Unix, Linux, BSD, macOS) and Windows environments, integrating cybersecurity best practices.
- Maintain and secure virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM/QEMU, MS Hyper-V, and container technologies like Docker.
- Architect and implement enterprise IT cybersecurity solutions, including IAM systems, vulnerability management tools, and secure configurations for MS Active Directory and GPOs.
- Perform testing on web-based applications developed in Java or .NET frameworks, focusing on IT cybersecurity aspects.
- Conduct dynamic application or software assessments, including web application penetration testing and vulnerability testing.
- Secure embedded systems, including control systems with low memory resources, SoCs (e.g., Raspberry Pi devices), and GPIO interface code where applicable.
- Translate IT cybersecurity policies and standards (e.g., ISO 27001:2013, NIST CSF, PCI DSS, NIST SP 800-82) into actionable technical controls and ensure their implementation.
IT Cybersecurity Architecture
- Assist in developing IT cybersecurity strategies focused on technology and process improvements to protect IT information assets.
- Participate in the identification, evaluation, and integration of IT cybersecurity systems, applications, and processes aligned with best practices to enhance IT infrastructure.
- Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in cybersecurity to contribute to the continuous improvement of IT cybersecurity capabilities.
IT Cybersecurity Operations
- Monitor and enforce cybersecurity controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and accountability of IT systems, applications, and software, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Facilitate IT cybersecurity awareness initiatives and provide training to relevant stakeholders on new systems and processes to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Conduct regular IT cybersecurity assessments, including penetration testing, vulnerability management, and other preventive interventions, to maintain system and software security.
