We are looking for an IT Shift Technician - Dammam Airport

Job Description:

The IT Shift Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains hardware and software components to ensure the smooth operation of computer systems. Responsibilities include installing and configuring computer hardware and serving as the primary point of contact for IT support within the company.

Main responsibilities:

  1. End User Support:

- Resolve issues related to systems contracted by the customer, such as:

  • AOS equipment (servers, workstations, printers, etc.)
  • Airport operation systems (AOS) hardware and software support (FIDS, AODB, RMS, IB, CATS, etc.)
  • Smart airport systems (TDAS, E-gates, HHT, etc.)

- Troubleshoot user issues to resolve problems.

- Handover and take over IT equipment.

- Replace damaged IT equipment.

- Install IT equipment on-site.

  1. Preventive Maintenance:

- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks.

- Daily inspection of E-gates, CATS workstations, and HHT at checkpoints.

- Check data center AC units and servers.

- Clean FIDS display fan filters.

- Provide technical support to airport staff, responding to queries, troubleshooting, and resolving issues promptly.

- Maintain IT infrastructure, including servers and other equipment, performing updates, backups, and security checks.

- Monitor IT systems and applications to ensure proper functioning and identify issues.

- Install and upgrade IT systems and applications efficiently with minimal disruption.

- Document IT procedures for installation and maintenance processes.

- Provide training to airport staff on IT systems and applications as needed.

- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as data protection and cybersecurity laws.

- Escalate issues to the IT Operations Duty Leader or other team members when necessary.
