Job description

Guardian Glass Industries in Saudi Arabia is hiring an IT/OT System Administrator based in our glass manufacturing plant in Al Jubail.

What You Will Do

• Manage IT/technology-related project deployments within the plant and provide hands-on local support where needed.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and global IT/OT teams.
• Manage onsite IT service providers and vendors.
• Implement, maintain, and support plant operational printers.
• Proactively troubleshoot and resolve OT network or systems issues.
• Support and manage anti-virus software on plant workstations, laptops, and servers.
• Handle backup and restore processes for critical process workstations.
• Administer and support software patching on plant workstations, laptops, and servers.
• Maintain cybersecurity measures.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in IT.
• Experience managing networks, servers, desktops, and communication devices.
• Knowledge of current network communication devices, protocols, Windows Server, Cisco products, VMware, and backup solutions.
• Experience with IT ticketing systems, incident handling, and request management.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience following change management procedures and maintaining high availability infrastructure.
• High ethical standards, team-oriented, and customer-focused mindset.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Basic knowledge of Industrial Control System (ICS) components.
• Familiarity with HMI, SCADA systems, data collectors, and Historian.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as OPC, Profinet, and Modbus.
• Experience working with PLCs.
