Job Description

Role Purpose

• Manage Information & Cyber Security, including physical & logical security, vulnerability planning, awareness, and policy development.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

• Provide security awareness training to personnel
• Oversee security audits by internal or third-party teams
• Evaluate departmental budgets for technological training
• Assess current technology for vulnerabilities and upgrades
• Implement and oversee security upgrades and changes
• Serve as the main contact for the security team and stakeholders
• Manage physical security, disaster recovery, and data backup systems
• Monitor security operations, including SIEM, AV, firewalls, and identity management
• Recommend security technologies and practices
• Ensure compliance with security mandates
• Translate policies and standards into security controls and assess environments accordingly
• Advise the IT Director on risk and security posture
• Communicate the importance of cybersecurity across the organization
• Coordinate security inspections, tests, and reviews
• Oversee security training and awareness programs
• Participate in security risk assessments
• Contribute cybersecurity requirements to procurement documents
• Recommend resource allocations for cybersecurity operations
• Track audit findings and ensure mitigation actions
