Strategic Planning
- Develop, execute, and maintain the strategic investor relations and financial communications annual plan.
- Develop corporate messages that describe Company’s purpose, achievements, and strategic direction, as a listed entity.
- Create the corporate financial/PR communications plan.
- IR monthly activity report showcasing the IR activity.
- Stock performance highlights.
- Changes in shareholders’ composition.
- Peer identification and benchmarking, reporting TTM KPIs.
- Develop voluntary financial disclosures to assist the financial markets in understanding corporate strategic messages and financial and operational performance.
- Work with external consultants and management to ensure the integrity of corporate press releases.
- Design, copywrite, and maintain the investor relations section of the corporate website; develop other collateral and presentations, including the annual report and investor packs to support analyst/investor outreach.
- Develop an investor targeting program and manage the annual calendar of IR conferences and other events to provide regular contact with investors.
Prepare capital markets days and roadshows
- Attend key investor/analyst/journalist meetings, where appropriate with CEO and/or CFO and other Executive Directors.
- Manage quarterly results’ announcement conference calls with investors, ensuring supporting materials are prepared as necessary.
- Maintain regular communications with buy and sell‐side analysts, including responding to ad hoc queries in a timely manner.
- Prepare an annual investor relations plan and budget for the IR function.
- Monitor analysts’ forecasts on an ongoing basis, comparison with the Company’s own forecasts, and work to guide expectations as appropriate.
- Monitor and review analyst reports on the Company and its peers and highlight any key issues for discussion with Executive Management.
- Prepare for and attend meetings with brokers and financial advisors.
- Write the investor relations Board reports to ensure Executive Management are up to date with the IR function and the financial markets’ views and concerns.
- Write and coordinate aspects of crisis communications, as and when required, ensuring consistency of message and approach.
- Act as key contact point for ESG-centric investors.
- Act as a liaison between ESG advisors and management key stakeholders to develop and execute the corporate ESG strategy.
- Develop and publish the annual corporate sustainability report.
- Integrate ESG aspects into the corporate strategic messaging.
Education and Experience
- Ideally past experience of Investor Relations in a publicly-listed company.
- Previous corporate communications experience is an advantage, acquired either in-house or through a consultancy.
- Previous buy‐ and/or sell‐side experience as analyst/AM is a great.
- B.Sc. degree in Finance/Business Administration. Having an MBA or MA from a reputable entity is an advantage.
- Professional certification of CPA / CIMA / CA / CFA or Certified Investor Relations (CPIR)/ Certificate in IR is an advantage.
- Previous experience in ESG/Sustainability is an advantage.
Skills Required
- An in‐depth understanding of the financial and investment markets.
- Knowledge of, and experience in Capital Markets / Corporate IR / Financial / copywriting and communications.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels and within different mediums.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships both inside and outside the Company.
- Proactive and organized, with the ability to work autonomously.
- High level of accuracy, consistency, and timely responses are essential.
- Flexibility to travel as and when required.
- Fluency in both spoken and written Arabic is required.
