Job description

The Investment Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing real estate investment activities in compliance with the Local Real Estate Procedures and Policies. This role includes identifying, evaluating, and managing investment opportunities, ensuring adherence to corporate and regulatory guidelines, and optimizing the portfolios and fund performance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and assess investment opportunities to identify strategic real estate assets and funds.
  • Evaluate market trends and asset viability to support investment decisions.
  • Lead due diligence processes covering property, financial, and market analysis.
  • Review legal documentation, including Advisory Agreements, Terms & Conditions, and Limited Partnership Agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory frameworks, and Shariah guidelines.
  • Coordinate with legal, compliance, and operations teams to oversee real estate acquisitions and disposals.
  • Manage the setup and administration of investment funds and Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) in alignment with investment strategies.
  • Monitor fund and SPV performance, adjusting strategies to meet financial and regulatory objectives.
  • Prepare detailed reports and performance updates for unit holders and stakeholders.
  • Engage with investors and service providers to ensure transparency and effective communication.
  • Support the development and execution of portfolio and asset business plans, including budgeting, financial targets, compliance, and marketing positioning.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • CME-1/2 - Capital Market Authority (CMA)
  • Preference for candidates with Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification or CAIA.
  • Excellent oral and written English; proficiency in Arabic is essential.
  • Strong skills in financial modeling and analysis.
