Investment Banking Associate – M&A (Large-Cap Focus)Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi ArabiaFirst-Year Associate

Aventus are representing a top-tier global investment bank with a longstanding reputation for delivering innovative financial solutions and strategic advisory to governments, corporations, and institutions.

The Investment Bank are seeking a highly motivated and analytically strong Associate to join the Mergers & Acquisitions team in Riyadh. The role will focus on advising on high-profile, large-cap M&A transactions across a range of sectors including energy, industrials, infrastructure, and technology. The successful candidate will be involved in deal execution from origination to closing, working closely with senior bankers, global sector teams, and regional clients.

Key Responsibilities:Lead and support the execution of complex M&A transactions, including buy-side, sell-side, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.Develop financial models, valuation analyses (DCF, precedent transactions, trading comps, LBO, etc.), and strategic scenario planning.Prepare client presentations, information memoranda, and internal committee materials with a high level of accuracy and insight.Perform industry and company-specific research to support transaction structuring and business development.Coordinate due diligence processes, legal documentation, and interaction with internal/external stakeholders (legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory).Mentor and oversee Analysts, ensuring quality output and skill development.Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and cross-border discussions with teams from EMEA, the US, and Asia.

Qualifications:3–5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, ideally within a leading global institution with strong exposure to M&A.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field from a top-tier university; MBA or CFA is a plus.Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to prepare high-quality client materials.Experience in cross-border transactions and familiarity with large-cap deal dynamics.Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a strong advantage.Knowledge of the Saudi Arabian regulatory and economic landscape is a plus.
