Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Saudi Arabia is seeking an Inventory Controller to maintain accurate inventory records and manage warehouse operations. This role requires collaboration with Procurement, Production, and Sales teams to ensure optimal stock levels while adhering to health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree related to Supply Chain Management and 2-3 years of relevant experience, particularly in ERP systems and warehouse procedures.

Job Purpose

To ensure the accuracy, integrity, and control of inventory across all warehouse locations, covering both raw materials and finished goods. The Inventory Controller maintains optimal stock levels, verifies system accuracy, and ensures alignment between physical inventory and ERP records. This role supports production continuity, minimizes discrepancies, and upholds best practices in inventory management and warehouse operations.

Key Accountability
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records for all warehouse locations in the ERP system.
  • Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliations between physical and system inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Monitor and analyze stock movements (receipts, transfers, dispatches) to ensure process compliance and accuracy.
  • Support periodic audits and provide inventory reports to management.
  • Coordinate closely with Procurement, Production, and Sales teams to ensure stock availability aligns with operational needs.
  • Monitor shelf life, batch control, and material traceability according to company and regulatory standards.
  • Enforce proper warehouse storage practices to ensure FIFO/FEFO principles are followed.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and housekeeping standards within all warehouse areas.
Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Solid understanding of warehouse procedures, stock control principles, and material flow.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
