We are seeking a General Manager for our dynamic and growing interior fit-out company, to lead and drive our operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, permanent leadership role for a commercially astute and operationally strong individual with a deep understanding of the local market and the fit-out sector.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in the Saudi fit-out or construction industry, along with an exceptional local network of clients, consultants, suppliers, and relevant government entities. The General Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic direction of the business while ensuring strong financial performance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership & Business Development :
- Refine and execute the company’s strategic objectives, aligning operations with long-term growth plans.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities through market intelligence, tendering, and leveraging an established local network.
- Represent the company at a senior level in client meetings, industry forums, and networking events to enhance brand presence and credibility.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders including developers, architects, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
Operational Oversight :
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations including project delivery, procurement, and workforce management.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and team performance to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Take full ownership of the company’s profit & loss account, balance sheet, and cash flow performance.
- Prepare and oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial planning in collaboration with the finance team.
- Monitor and control operational costs, margins, and pricing strategies to maintain profitability and competitiveness.
Team & Organizational Leadership :
- Recruit, manage, and mentor senior staff across project management, commercial, operations, and administration functions.
- Foster a positive and accountable company culture that emphasizes integrity, performance, and client satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi labor laws, health and safety standards, and corporate governance best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the interior fit-out or construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in managing operations and driving business growth within Saudi Arabia, particularly in Riyadh.
- Strong commercial acumen with hands-on experience managing P&L and full financial accountability.
- Excellent local market knowledge and a well-established network of industry contacts.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is desirable.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
