Overview
We are seeking an Integrity Engineer to join the Southern Area Pipelines team.
The SA Pipelines team is responsible for transferring hydrocarbons, crude oils, gases (including sweet and sour products), and LPG from wells to producing facilities and then to downstream facilities.
The primary role of the Integrity Engineer is to provide technical support to pipeline operating facilities by assessing their integrity condition and risks to ensure pipelines operate safely and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Focal point for managing all integrity-related issues.
- Analyze pipeline integrity data, identify hazards, and recommend mitigation measures.
- Review impact of anomalies on pipelines and suggest corrective actions.
- Evaluate integrity assessment results to determine the need for additional actions.
- Participate in hazard identification and risk assessment for pipelines and related infrastructure.
- Develop or suggest improvements to Saudi Aramco engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Perform technical tasks on onshore and offshore pipeline facilities.
- Ensure the technical quality of work and tasks performed.
- Participate in vendor meetings to ensure proper engineering design of pipelines.
- Provide expertise to address technical queries and lead engineering studies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized program; ideally with at least 10 years of experience as an integrity engineer.
- Certification as a corrosion specialist by NACE or equivalent.
- Possession of API 510, API 570, AWS, RBI, and other inspection-related certifications is preferred.
- Knowledge of pipeline integrity standards, codes, and best practices, including ASME B31.8, B31.4, B31G.
- Experience in conducting Fitness for Service (FFS) assessments for pipelines.
- Experience in evaluating pipeline corrosion and threats such as cracks.
