A leading automation solutions provider in Saudi Arabia is seeking an Integration Engineer to work on complex logistic process automation at airports. The role involves integrating various mechanical and IT components, conducting tests, and ensuring operational readiness. Candidates should have a technical degree and 8+ years of experience, with strong skills in PLCs and testing methodologies. The position emphasizes collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team and the ability to manage details while considering the bigger picture.
Integration Engineer - Airport Engineering
Vanderlande is the global leader for value-added logistic process automation at airports and in the parcel market, as well as a leading supplier of process automation solutions for warehouses. Innovation is the key to winning in a world that is changing faster than ever, which is why it is essential for Vanderlande to develop cutting edge solutions. The use and development of cutting-edge technologies is core to that success. This technology alone does not make a successful organization and our mantra is “In a world of technology, a belief in people”.
Vanderlande understands the complexities associated with operating a successful Airport and delivers future proof logistic process automation. These automation systems are composed of many (electro-) mechanical and IT components, built by teams in various parts of the world and must be integrated with other (software) systems to support the processes of our customers. As an Integration Engineer, you are involved in integrating the various components and (sub)systems into a solution. This is especially challenging for large and complex consisting of individual carrier systems, sortation systems, automatic storage and retrieval systems, automated guided vehicles, robots, conveyors, control software and IT infrastructure. You test the system to ensure that it works according to the design. Often, testing involves attempts to intentionally break the system to identify any problem areas, based on an analysis of technical risks. Test- and integration engineers contribute to the success of projects through their superior knowledge of the system as a whole, its operational objectives, how its parts work together, and the technical factors that go into its development.
You are an analytical problem solver who thinks in a systems perspective. You are able to manage small details while keeping an eye on the big picture. You like to work together in an international multi-disciplinary team of engineers.
