Job Description:

Instrumentation technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and calibrating electrical equipment used in NGHC 380KV grid network system. The technician may also be tasked with monitoring the performance of these systems to ensure they’re operating correctly. This includes checking pressure gauges, observing flow meters, checking induction testing instruments, earth testers, voltage gauges, etc.

The main functions of this position are:

  • Installation includes mounting, wiring, connecting, testing, configuring, and programming the protection relays, instruments, and devices.
  • Maintenance includes routine calibration and functional testing of various protection relays, instruments, and devices, documentation of calibration data collected during inspections utilizing the instrument inspection monitoring system, and verification of data communication systems that provide real-time process and alarm information to the facility control center.
  • Troubleshooting includes utilizing equipment such as a laptop computer, multi-meter, instrument/device communicator, device software, and documenting process calibrator.
  • Develops and maintains interactive work relationships to accurately and effectively complete job responsibilities.
  • Directs, advises, instructs, inspects, supports, and/or assists contractors and employees in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of assets, ensuring regulatory and compliance standards are met.
  • Participates in EPC contractor site installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

This role will report to the Transmission Maintenance Engineer and will be based out of NEOM-Dubai, Tabuk Region, Saudi Arabia.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Associate’s Diploma in Electronics / Instrumentation.
  • 10+ years of experience in maintenance of Power Transmission Network.
  • 3+ years of experience in development/construction of Power Transmission Network.
  • Good knowledge of maintenance of field instruments, signaling, and SCADA equipment.
  • Basic understanding of SCADA scheme drawings and operational activities of Power Transmission Network.
  • Basic understanding of Power Transmission and instrumentation.
  • Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environment Management systems.
  • Teamwork and effective collaboration skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
