An established industry player is seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to join their maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of plant operations through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of various instrumentation systems. Your expertise in calibration and technical documentation will be crucial in maintaining compliance with ISO standards. · Understand and apply the plant safety standards and be familiar with plant potential hazards.
· Understand and apply standard maintenance procedures when performing the job.
· Carry out preventive maintenance tasks according to the Preventive Maintenance procedure.
· Use all workshop test equipment with care and respect.
· Always maintain good housekeeping in the working area.
· Able to troubleshoot and repair plant instrument problems (‘Pneumatics and Electronics’).
· Able to perform calibration for all plant equipment according to ISO standards.
· Should be able to overhaul and repair plant instruments such as ‘Control valves, Controllers, Transmitters, etc.
· Read and understand instrument loop drawings and P.I.Ds.
· Able to tune field controllers, adjust P.I.D settings, and tune the loop.
· Experience in troubleshooting combustion control loops, steam boilers/furnaces.
· Carry out testing of safety critical devices/systems according to the safety critical procedure.
· Servicing, calibration, and troubleshooting of Rosemount smart transmitters.
· Compressor and turbine control instrumentation.
· Emergency shutdown and trip interlock systems.
· Boiler and water treatment plant instrumentation.
· Service, calibration, and instrumentation used for fire alarm and flame detector systems.
· Service calibration of analytical instruments used for O2, CO, CO2, pH, and conductivity meters.
· Knowledge of the English language: Speak, read, and write.
· Graduate with a 2-year diploma in Industrial Trade training certificate from a recognized institution.
· Experience certificate from a process and construction company.
· Minimum 6-8 years work experience as an Instrument Technician in refinery or petrochemical plants.
