INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking Instrument Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Field Services to achieve excellence in service delivery across industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, and Utilities. Instrument Design Engineer must be specialized in flow control instruments and valves. The candidate should have a strong technical background in the selection, sizing, and detailed design of control valves, on/off valves, actuators, and flow instrumentation for industrial process applications.
What You’ll Lead And Deliver
- Instrument data sheets and specifications for valves and flow instruments
- Valve sizing using tools such as Fisher Specification Manager, Emerson ValveLink, or Siemens PDM
- Instrument Index / I/O List and hook-up drawings
- Instrument location layout and installation drawings
- Generate technical requisitions, conduct vendor technical bid evaluations (TBE), and coordinate with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards (ISA, IEC, API 6D/6A, ISO 5167, ASME B16.34).
- Work closely with piping, mechanical, and process teams to integrate valve sizing and flow measurement data.
- Prepare MTOs, loop diagrams, and termination schedules related to flow control devices.
- Participate in P&ID reviews, HAZOP, and Control Philosophy discussions.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
- Minimum 6 Years of relevant experience
- Bachelors of engineering degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Mechatronics
- Control valves (globe, butterfly, ball) Experience
- On/off valves with pneumatic/electric actuators Experience
- Flow meters (Coriolis, ultrasonic, DP, vortex, magnetic, Orifice) Experience
