Overview:

We are seeking Instrument and Control System Engineer to work in Western Area Pipelines Department.


The Western Area Pipelines Department is responsible for transporting crude, gas, NGL, and product across several customers in west side of Saudi Arabia.


Your primary role is to maintaining and repairing field instrumentation and control system equipment.





Key Responsibilities:

  • As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Perform necessary maintenance on assigned equipment, replacing parts as required under supervision.

  • Perform skilled maintenance, Maintain and repair field instrumentation and basic supervisory equipment, such as vibration monitoring equipment, using standard test equipment and basic diagnostics.

  • Perform technical support for all field instrumentation and control systems, SCADA, DCS, RTU’s and subsystems at WAPD facilities and perform troubleshooting, problem resolutions, maintain systems and software for the following:


A. SCADA Control System (Siemens CS7& PCS Telecontrol).



B. PLC (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, ABB, Emerson, Yokogawa, GE).



B. DCS (Yokogawa, ABB, Honeywell, Siemens).



F.Fire Control System.



G. Metering and Proving Control System and Skid.



H. Vibration Monitoring System (GE-Bentley-Nevada 3500).



I. Radar Tank Gauging




  • Participate in factory acceptance tests and site acceptance tests for instrument items as well as equipment package control systems.

  • Perform technical bid evaluations for control system and instrumentation. Serve as a field technical lead role on SCADA, RTUs, ESD, VMS and PLC system project design and provide support during implementations.

  • Reassemble and recalibrates equipment, runs operating tests to ensure satisfactory repair.




Minimum requirements:

  • The candidate must have Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Instrumentation or Control System.

  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience, preferably in the oil industry or similar process industry.
