Infrastructure Projects in Riyadh

A leading international engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Instrument and Control Engineer to support a major infrastructure programme based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This long-term role will be part of the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team, focused on the delivery of large-scale water infrastructure projects including pipeline networks, pumping stations, tanks, and associated control systems.

Role Overview
As Instrument and Control Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical supervision and support of instrumentation and automation systems across TSE infrastructure. You’ll review, inspect, and ensure compliance of SCADA, PLCs, field instrumentation, and control panels across all facilities and networks.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise installation and integration of sensors, transmitters, control valves, actuators, and junction boxes
• Review submittals, loop diagrams, wiring drawings, and termination schedules
• Coordinate PLC/SCADA integration with mechanical and electrical systems
• Witness testing, calibration, loop checks, and commissioning of I&C systems
• Ensure adherence to QA/QC standards, inspection plans, and HSE procedures
• Interface with SCADA suppliers, contractors, and electrical teams for issue resolution
• Participate in FAT, SAT, and site acceptance processes for automation systems

Requirements
• BSc in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Automation Engineering with 7+ years of experience
OR MSc in a related discipline with 5+ years of experience
• Strong technical knowledge of industrial instrumentation, SCADA, PLC programming, and telemetry
• Familiarity with international standards (ISA, IEC, NFPA)
• Experience in field supervision and technical coordination

Preferred
• Previous involvement in large-scale water or wastewater treatment projects
• Vendor certifications (e.g. Siemens, Schneider, ABB) in automation technologies
• Knowledge of municipal or TSE infrastructure SCADA systems
• Arabic language proficiency is an advantage
