Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Day to day inspection and reporting activities
  2. Work in accordance with ARM QMS and HSE procedures & policies.
  3. Supporting workshop foreman in monitoring, identification and traceability process.
  4. Perform timely incoming inspection (materials, steel structures, capital equipment, mechanical parts).
  5. Perform timely quality inspection in accordance with Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), Router, drawings and quality instructions in the shops.
  6. Perform visual and dimensional control of weld joints including quality of painting
  7. Review and control of painting production process (temperature, humidity, thickness of wet and dry layer)
  8. Perform required NDT inspection or review NDT reports (for outsourced NDT processes)
  9. Prepare required inspection reports.
  10. Monitor and maintain the measurement instrument/equipment calibration up to date.
  11. Create Non-conformance reports (NCRs), when required. Provide marking and isolation of nonconforming products/parts.
  12. Monitor status of created NCRs and implementation of disposition.
  13. Re-inspect nonconforming products/parts after repair/rework.
  14. Perform duties as required by Shop supervisors and job priority.
  15. Involve in internal and external audits.
  16. Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

Function/Purpose:

Perform a wide variety of inspection and quality control operations in visual, dimensional and functional nature, making necessary critical observations, tests, or completing appropriate documentation as required.

Skills and Experience Required:

  1. Knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings; AWS D1.1 and ASME BPVC SEC IX code requirements; and understanding material specifications and requirements.

Qualification, Knowledge, and Experience:

  1. Graduate of a recognized university or technology institute with a bachelor’s degree or Diploma (4 years regular) in Mechanical/Metallurgy Engineering discipline and/or 5 years minimum experience in Inspection & Testing, preferably with Fabrication Company (oil & gas as advantage).
  2. AWS/CSWIP 3.1 minimum.
  3. NDT Level II for MPI and LP.
  4. NACE or BGas Certified Coating Inspector level II (as advantage).
  5. NDT Level II for UT (as advantage).
  6. Good understanding of the Company Quality Management System.
  7. Acceptable skills in use of inspection and measuring equipment.
  8. Good skills in oral and written communications, fluent English.
  9. Organized, detailed and accurate in work assignments.
