Job Summary:


Emerson Automation Solutions combines technology and engineering to develop solutions for our customers, committed to excellence for a world in action. This position is within the Flow Controls Business Unit, Automation Solutions platform. The Inside Sales Engineer is based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, serving customers in the western region (Saudi Arabia and Bahrain).


Responsibilities include:

  • Managing quotation activities for upstream accounts
  • Setting up and monitoring KPIs, evaluating team performance
  • Maintaining RFQ and PO dashboards for upstream accounts
  • Qualifying customer requests to meet application and operational needs
  • Preparing timely, accurate, and commercially verified customer quotations
  • Performing technical and application presentations to customers
  • Following up on quotations and negotiating sales orders within DOA
  • Ensuring purchase orders are compliant before processing
  • Providing application engineering support for severe service pursuits
  • Advising customers on technical solutions and benefits
  • Supporting product modifications and capabilities through success stories and industry applications
  • Maintaining records of quotation activities for assigned accounts
  • Collaborating with manufacturing and engineering teams on lead times and special requirements
  • Attending customer meetings and site visits, troubleshooting customer issues, supporting site walks
  • Assisting outside sales with technical discussions and promoting new products
  • Ensuring activities align with departmental metrics (Hit Rate/Budget)
  • Participating in technical and commercial training to stay updated
  • Working with consultants, customers, and end users for product pre-specification
  • Coordinating with project management and order fulfillment teams for order accuracy
  • Training new engineers on control valve engineering, sizing, and quoting strategies
  • Collaborating with other divisions for multi-divisional quotes
  • Implementing process improvements and ensuring compliance with trade and quality policies
  • Staying informed on market trends and product developments
  • Leading process improvements and fulfilling additional duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, instrumentation, or chemical engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in control valves or industrial automation
  • Fisher Certified Junior Master is advantageous

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Fisher flow control products
  • Experience with KOB3 pursuits, MEA customers, EPC projects for KOB1 & 2
  • Proficiency with FF2 sizing and selection tools (minimum 3 years)
  • Experience coordinating with project management and order teams
  • In-house engineering support experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of midstream, refining, oil & gas processes
