Job description

The Infrastructure Specialist designs, installs, configures, tests, monitors, supports, and troubleshoots Local and Wide Area Networks. Administers and manages Cisco routers, switches, ASA appliances, and F5 load balancers. Performs router/switch network hardware/software upgrades. Provides IP Addressing Strategy - NAT, Re-Addressing. Performs WAN - IP Routed Network Integration. Prepares work orders containing instructions to be used by technicians to configure network hardware and software. Performs diagnostic analysis of the network system, identifies possible faulty devices, troubleshoots faulty modules, troubleshoots network problems and outages, and prepares necessary documentation detailing actions taken. Works with customer technical teams to provide solutions for customers' internetworking communications requirements.


Job Responsibilities:


* System Administration:


  1. Upgrading, installing, configuring, and maintaining server systems infrastructure.
  2. Manage Active Directory, including user accounts, permissions, and group policies.
  3. Monitor and optimize performance, capacity, and availability of systems.
  4. Perform regular system updates, patch management, and backups.
  5. Inventory and Asset Management:
  6. Maintain inventory of physical servers, virtual servers, and IT appliances.
  7. Ensure all assets are documented and tracked for lifecycle management.

* Security & Compliance:


  1. Implement and maintain IT security policies and procedures.
  2. Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis.
  3. Ensure systems are compliant with relevant standards.

* User Support:


  1. Provide support for internal users, including troubleshooting server and software issues.
  2. Manage service requests and incidents, resolving issues in a timely manner.
  3. Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.

* Cloud & Virtualization:


  1. Support cloud-based services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Office 365).
  2. Manage and monitor virtual environments.
  3. Provision, configure, and manage cloud and virtual resources.

* Backup & Disaster Recovery:


  1. Implement and maintain backup solutions for critical systems and data.
  2. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
