As part of our expanding operations in the Middle East region, we are seeking an IT Manager to join our dynamic team. Based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

Job Brief:

To seek economic, operational and technical performance via IT and/or organisational solutions by unifying the various key participants within the department and business lines

Responsibilities:

ERP Implementation Project Supervision

  • Validate internal and external human resources and technical solutions for successful ERP implementation
  • Supervise all project participants (consultants, internal managers, etc.)
  • Manage contingency plans for unexpected issues (e.g., priority changes, supplier failures)
  • Act as the liaison between IT and business units
  • Develop and manage communication programs to support change management
  • Validate and oversee service contracts related to the project

Market and Technology Watch

  • Identify current and emerging market trends
  • Analyze new opportunities in alignment with company needs
  • Formalize insights and provide strategic recommendations
  • Ensure relevant information is shared across departments

Budget Management

  • Define and propose IT investment plans
  • Calculate, budget, and monitor Information Systems (IS) costs
  • Justify budget proposals with supporting arguments
  • Track budget execution and manage service re-billing
  • Benchmark costs against market standards

Strategic Planning

  • Gather and assess business needs and translate them into IT requirements
  • Anticipate IS developments (e.g., obsolescence, security, scalability)
  • Contribute to strategic planning, including annual and multi-year roadmaps

Supplier and Service Provider Management

  • Source, evaluate, and procure IT services, equipment, and software
  • Ensure service/product delivery meets specifications and quality standards
  • Manage re-specifications and resolve disputes with vendors
  • Prepare qualitative and quantitative evaluations of services/products

Requirements & Skills:

  • 10 years’ IT experience

Knowledge and Expertise

  • Proficient in methods, standards, techniques, and tools relevant to the role and industry
  • Strong understanding of the company’s sector and business lines
  • In-depth knowledge of Information Systems (IS) architecture and functionalities
  • Familiarity with IS management structures and services
  • Solid general IT culture and awareness of emerging technologies
  • Understanding of legislation and regulations related to IT and telecommunications

Advisory and Leadership Skills

  • Ability to advise, recommend, and propose solutions effectively
  • Skilled in arbitration and conflict resolution
  • Capable of leading teams and working groups
  • Strong problem-solving abilities in complex environments
  • Experience in both line and non-line management roles

Communication and Organizational Skills

  • Excellent drafting and documentation skills
  • Effective negotiation capabilities
  • Proficient in project organization and management techniques
  • Fluent in English and the local language (as applicable)

Technical and Operational Proficiency

  • Competent in using office systems (word processing, spreadsheets, messaging services)

  • Skilled in preparing, managing, and monitoring budgets and costs
