Education/Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field.

Responsibilities:

  1. Critically appraise and evaluate infection prevention and control knowledge and practices.
  2. Carry out risk assessments related to infection prevention and control.
  3. Monitor infection control incidents daily.
  4. Supervise the infection control program.
  5. Follow the recommendations of the infection control committee regularly.
  6. Provide infection control training for new staff.
  7. Analyze performance data and assess improvement programs.
  8. Identify and eliminate unsafe practices among staff at all levels.
  9. Audit compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
  10. Offer expert advice on infection prevention and control to operating units and management teams.
  11. Develop, review, evaluate, and implement infection control policies to enhance quality of care.
  12. Consult with department and administrative staff on infection control issues.
  13. Participate in periodic surveys of patient care areas.
  14. Conduct rounds throughout the center to ensure staff adherence to infection control rules.
