A leading company in Saudi Arabia is seeking an Industrial Electrical Site Engineer to oversee and coordinate electrical work at industrial project sites. The role involves installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Ideal candidates should possess a relevant engineering degree and have 2-5 years experience in industrial electrical projects.

The Industrial Electrical Site Engineer is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and executing electrical work at industrial project sites. This includes the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems such as power distribution networks, motors, control panels, and automation systems. The engineer ensures that all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution & Supervision
o Oversee and manage site execution of electrical installations as per approved drawings and specifications.
o Coordinate daily site activities with contractors, technicians, and other engineering disciplines.
o Monitor the progress of work and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Installation & Commissioning
o Supervise installation of industrial electrical components: switchgears, transformers, MCCs, PLC panels, cable trays, earthing systems, etc.
o Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning of electrical systems including power and control circuits.
o Ensure proper loop checks, insulation resistance tests, and functional tests are carried out.
Technical Compliance
o Ensure all site work adheres to applicable electrical codes (e.g., IEC, NEC), standards, and project specifications.
o Review and interpret electrical drawings (single-line diagrams, schematics, layouts).
Quality Assurance & Safety
o Conduct quality inspections and testing to ensure proper installation.
o Enforce electrical safety standards and perform risk assessments on-site.
o Participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Documentation & Reporting
o Maintain records of daily work progress, material usage, and labor allocation.
o Prepare and submit reports, red-line/as-built drawings, and documentation for handover.
o Support project engineers and managers with required site data and updates.
Material & Resource Management
o Coordinate the delivery and usage of electrical materials and equipment.
o Ensure proper storage, handling, and usage of tools and materials on-site.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
2 5 years (or more) experience in industrial electrical project execution, preferably in manufacturing plants, substations, or large-scale electrical projects.
Certifications (Preferred):
o Electrical Work Permit (as per region)
o Safety training (e.g., OSHA, HSE)
o PLC/SCADA or automation knowledge (optional but advantageous)
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, wiring, and controls.
Ability to read and interpret technical electrical drawings.
Good understanding of site safety and regulatory compliance.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
