Job description

So, we're looking for an Income Auditor to provide customer service support, balance the books, and perform other essential accounting tasks to help us stay one step ahead of tomorrow during our late-night shifts.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:

  1. Prepares daily income report.
  2. Investigates discrepancies and corrects same as indicated in Night Auditor and Restaurant Auditor's Logbook.
  3. Compares the Housekeeper's Report against Night Receptionist room report. Lists the discrepancies noted, investigates these discrepancies, and takes appropriate action.
  4. Performs duties indicated in the Income Auditor checklist (copy attached).
  5. Supervises the activities of Assistant Income Auditor and Night Auditor.
  6. Ensures completion of the monthly Income Auditor checklist.
  7. Reports in Logbook all discrepancies for the attention of Internal Auditor and Controller.
  8. Supervises and controls Restaurant Checks issues Logbook.
  9. Complies with the Hotel's Health, Safety & Hygiene policy.
  10. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
  11. Manages day-to-day activities, plans and assigns work, and establishes performance and development goals for team members. Provides mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognize good performance.
  12. Educates, trains, and motivates finance and accounting teams to achieve hotel revenue goals. Ensures staff has the information, market data, tools, and equipment to successfully carry out job duties. Provides direction to hotel employees on how decision-making impacts profits.
What We need from you:
  • Accounting and mathematics skills for accurate auditing and payment processing.
  • Cash handling experience for counting and securing bank and processing cash payments.
  • Computer literacy, including familiarity with PMS software.
  • Strong verbal communication and good listening skills for effective and pleasant interactions with guests and housekeeping staff.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, offers, and the local area.
