An In Room Dining Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing the hotel's room service operations to ensure guests receive exceptional service. Here are the typical day-to-day activities for this position:


Day-to-Day Activities of an In Room Dining Supervisor


  1. Supervising Staff: Leading and mentoring the in-room dining team to ensure high standards of service. Conducting briefings and training sessions to keep the team informed and motivated.
  2. Overseeing Service Operations: Monitoring the preparation and delivery of in-room dining orders to ensure timely and accurate service. Ensuring that all orders are presented according to the hotel's standards.
  3. Guest Interaction: Handling guest inquiries, requests, and complaints related to in-room dining services promptly and professionally.
  4. Quality Control: Inspecting food and beverage items before they are delivered to guests to ensure they meet the hotel's quality standards.
  5. Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies used in in-room dining.
  6. Administrative Tasks: Preparing and submitting reports on in-room dining operations, including sales, inventory, and staff performance.
  7. Ensuring Compliance: Ensuring that all in-room dining operations comply with health and safety regulations.
  8. Event Coordination: Assisting in the planning and execution of special in-room dining events and promotions.

Skills and Qualities Needed


  1. Strong Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high standards of service.
  2. Attention to Detail: Ensuring that all aspects of in-room dining service are impeccable.
  3. Organizational Skills: Managing multiple tasks and maintaining detailed records efficiently.
  4. Communication Skills: Communicating effectively with staff, guests, and suppliers.
  5. Problem-Solving Skills: Addressing and resolving issues promptly and effectively.

What we need from you


Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

  1. Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration / Business Administration.
  2. Two to three years’ prior tenure in a similar role.
  3. International luxury hotel chain background.
  4. GCC exposure.
  5. English fluency is required; Arabic fluency is preferred.

In addition to the tasks outlined above, all team members are expected to demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative spirit. This may involve taking on additional responsibilities as needed, especially during periods of high occupancy or in emergency situations.
