IDB3474 - Junior Business Analyst (Supplemental Workforce - Third Party Contract)

Job Purpose
Analyze areas of pain or improvement, propose solutions, and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications using appropriate tools and models. Ensure developers can translate these into code and design that meet internal client needs.

Key Accountabilities

1. Perform business analysis in coordination with the IMDT Enterprise Architecture team, translating business requirements into functional and technical designs that developers can implement accurately, ensuring clarity for Product Lead, Solution Architect, and team members.
2. Understand the current technology landscape and applications architecture; support the product team in gathering, prioritizing, and developing project plans based on business needs.
3. Conduct workshops with stakeholders to assess current technical capabilities and propose improvements or new systems.
4. Support decision-making by analyzing options such as 'build versus buy,' sourcing, and conducting cost/benefit analyses.
5. Configure systems, fix bugs, and implement enhancements according to procedures and SLAs to ensure consistent service.
6. Analyze change requests and coordinate with the solution design team to implement appropriate solutions.
7. Perform quality assurance to ensure solutions meet quality standards and business requirements; assist in user acceptance testing and issue reporting.
8. Document and maintain user manuals reflecting system changes, to facilitate future updates and training.
9. Suggest re-engineering of business processes where necessary to improve efficiency based on organizational direction.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in IT, including business analysis and technical design.
• Experience with business requirements tracking using DEVOPS is preferred.
• Knowledge of business process modeling with tools like Visio or mind maps is preferred.
• Change management knowledge is advantageous.
