IDB1850 - Manager - Business Development
JOB PURPOSE
This role contributes to the achievement of ITFC's strategic objectives by fostering innovation, products and business development, and launch and management of special funds. The Manager, Business Development, is responsible for supporting ITFC in designing and developing innovative new business lines, programs, and trade finance products. Additionally, the Manager will oversee the effective management and active administration of the Trade Development Fund ensuring alignment with goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing business development initiatives and applying innovation methodologies, in coordination with relevant departments for digital components.
- Support the establishment and maintenance of business development frameworks and processes to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in the allocation of work and resources within the team to ensure tasks are completed on time and efficiently.
- Ensure high levels of productivity and collaboration.
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships to achieve business objectives.
- Assist in the development and launch of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) to explore new business opportunities.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing within ITFC by sharing relevant business development insights.
- Ensure that processes within the team are well-established and followed for efficient operations.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages idea generation and problem-solving.
- Monitor and maintain portfolios of all Business Development functions, providing regular updates on progress.
- Stay informed about trade trends and challenges within member countries and identify opportunities for potential business solutions.
- Work closely with Trade Finance and Trade Development teams to help identify and develop new business opportunities for ITFC.
- Assist in the management of the New Product development process in collaboration with ITFC's relevant teams and IsDBG Shari'ah body.
- Assist in Managing and Operating the Governance Structure of the Trade Development Fund.
- Develop, maintain, and report on implementation of the Trade Development Fund's Operational, Administrative & Financial Plans
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIESEducation- Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Islamic Finance or related fields.
