Job Description

• Design and develop secure APIs using IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower.
• Write advanced XSLT/XPath and Gateway scripts to transform and route messages.
• Develop and deploy custom policies in API Connect for security, logging, and traffic management.
• Coordinate and implement backend integrations with MQ, Oracle, and other systems.
• Own and maintain the API Catalog for the bank.
• Execute full server upgrade processes and coordinate across DC/DR/UAT/SIT environments.
• Support and manage DataPower services including troubleshooting, monitoring, and logging frameworks.
• Collaborate with teams across IBM IIB, Java, IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, and application owners.
• Implement and manage OAuth security on API Connect.
• Execute and support external customer integrations.
• Participate in security testing, and ensure compliance with internal and external security protocols.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

• 7–10 years of hands-on experience in middleware integration, API development, and support.
• Strong expertise in IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower, including configuration, deployment, and custom policy creation.
• Proficient in XSLT, XPath, XSD, XML, and Gateway Scripting for message transformation and routing.
• Solid understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles.
• Experience integrating backend systems like IBM MQ and Oracle DB within API Connect services.
• Proven ability to deploy and manage microservices using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Skilled in Shell scripting and working in Linux/AIX environments.
• Experienced in code deployments, domain creation, and managing environments across DC/DR/UAT/SIT.
• Knowledge of App Connect Enterprise (IBM IIB) is a strong advantage.
• Hands-on experience in OAuth, JWT, and other security configurations for APIs.
• Familiar with API lifecycle management and maintaining comprehensive API catalogs.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning abilities, especially on DataPower appliances.
• Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including application owners, backend teams, and integration partners.
• Exposure to external customer integrations, security testing, and compliance tools.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills to work in cross-functional teams.
