WSP is seeking an experienced Hydraulics Manager to lead and oversee hydraulic design and analysis for a major stormwater infrastructure project in Jeddah. The ideal candidate will have a strong civil engineering background with extensive experience in stormwater management, flood control, and drainage systems.

Your new role, what's involved

• Hydraulic Design & Analysis: Lead the design, modeling, and analysis of stormwater drainage systems, flood control structures, and water retention solutions.
• Project Management: Oversee hydraulic engineering activities, ensuring compliance with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance on stormwater management best practices, hydraulic modeling, and regulatory compliance.
• Software & Modeling: Utilize industry-standard software such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, MIKE FLOOD, Civil 3D, or similar tools for hydraulic simulations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure project adherence to local and international stormwater management regulations and environmental guidelines.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with government authorities, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify potential hydraulic risks and implement mitigation strategies to enhance project resilience.
• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and presentations for project stakeholders.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulics, or Water Resources.
• Experience: Minimum 15 years in hydraulic design, stormwater management, and drainage projects.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of hydraulic modeling, flood risk assessment, and drainage system design.
• Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with HEC-RAS, SWMM, MIKE FLOOD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools.
• Project Experience: Prior involvement in large-scale stormwater projects, flood mitigation plans, and drainage system implementation.
• Leadership Skills: Ability to lead teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive project success.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for stakeholder coordination and reporting.
