We’re searching for an A/C technician who is responsible for performing repairs on the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems in the hotel facilities. The role involves responding to and attending guest repair requests and communicating with guests or staff to resolve any HVAC maintenance issues.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Maintaining the hotel equipment, building, and assets to ensure high performance and reduce breakdowns.
• Reporting immediately any misuse of hotel equipment and assets to your direct Supervisor or Shift Leader.
• Using initiative and foresight to undertake tasks outlined within the preventative maintenance program without the direct supervision of the Shift Engineer/Chief Engineer.
• Performing daily inspections and rectifications of all public areas related to your trade.
• Conducting regular inspections and tours of the Mechanical and Electrical plant rooms, ensuring they are clean and operational.
• Inspecting utilities regularly and informing the Line Manager immediately of any failures, breakages, or shortages.
• Maintaining appropriate files and resources for future reference.
• Completing daily reports outlining work undertaken.
• Carrying a pager and responding to requests from departments regarding minor maintenance issues throughout the day.
• Checking lighting to ensure all globes are functioning properly.
• Assisting in planning and scheduling daily operations and preventative maintenance.
• Completing periodic maintenance schedules.
• Monitoring energy and water consumption used in the hotel.
• Conducting regular tours and patrols of the hotel premises to ensure lighting schedules are implemented, reducing energy consumption, and identifying water leaks.
• Familiarizing with green engage initiatives and saving plans.
• Reviewing the quality and quantity of ordered materials and advising the supervisor or shift leader.
• Following up on purchase orders with the purchasing department.
• Ensuring that ordered equipment, appliances, parts, and chemicals are energy-efficient, environmentally friendly, or eco-friendly products.

What we need from you:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a 5-star hotel.
• Proven knowledge in installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment. Ability to diagnose faults and rectify systems is essential.
