Job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, analyze, and optimize HVAC systems for performance, efficiency, and safety.
2. Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC systems.
3. Conduct site inspections, system diagnostics, and troubleshoot issues to determine root causes and implement effective solutions.
4. Prepare technical documentation including design calculations, equipment specifications, and project reports.
5. Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely and quality execution of HVAC-related work.
6. Ensure compliance with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
7. Recommend energy-efficient solutions and upgrades to existing HVAC systems.
8. Support the development and implementation of preventive maintenance plans.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in HVAC engineering, preferably in commercial, industrial, or institutional projects.
3. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, components, controls, and energy efficiency principles.
4. Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., HAP, AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier E20-II) and Microsoft Office tools.
5. Good understanding of relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, local regulations).
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) or smart HVAC controls.
2. Familiarity with green building standards such as LEED or Estidama (if regionally relevant).
3. HVAC certification or license is an advantage.
