Job Purpose
Developing, analyzing, and implementing policies that align with the organization’s mission and goals.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Research and analyze existing and proposed legislation, regulations, and policies relevant to the organization’s areas of focus.
- Develop policy recommendations based on thorough analysis of data and trends in the field.
- Prepare reports, policy briefs, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate policy considerations into strategic planning and operational processes.
- Engage with government agencies and other stakeholders to influence policy outcomes and build collaborative relationships.
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of existing policies and programs, providing insights for adjustments as necessary.
- Stay updated on national and local policy developments, emerging issues, and best practices in the sector.
- Assist in the development of advocacy strategies to promote policy positions and initiatives.
- Organize and participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences to disseminate policy information and engage with stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Law, or a related field (master’s degree preferred)
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Proven experience in policy analysis, and development.
- Strong understanding of legislative processes and governmental structures.
- Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Fluency in English language (read, write & speak).
