Job Purpose

Developing, analyzing, and implementing policies that align with the organization’s mission and goals.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze existing and proposed legislation, regulations, and policies relevant to the organization’s areas of focus.
  • Develop policy recommendations based on thorough analysis of data and trends in the field.
  • Prepare reports, policy briefs, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate policy considerations into strategic planning and operational processes.
  • Engage with government agencies and other stakeholders to influence policy outcomes and build collaborative relationships.
  • Monitor and evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of existing policies and programs, providing insights for adjustments as necessary.
  • Stay updated on national and local policy developments, emerging issues, and best practices in the sector.
  • Assist in the development of advocacy strategies to promote policy positions and initiatives.
  • Organize and participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences to disseminate policy information and engage with stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Law, or a related field (master’s degree preferred)

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Proven experience in policy analysis, and development.
  • Strong understanding of legislative processes and governmental structures.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Fluency in English language (read, write & speak).
