Job Description:
Education & Experience:
  • Typically at least 2 years of HSE or related experience in a manufacturing, oilfield or similar environment.
  • High school diploma in Health, Safety and Environment or equivalent degrees.
Technical & Problem Solving Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of local HSE regulations.
  • Learning to apply basic knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and procedures within the HSE department.
  • Ability to identify deviations from standards.
  • Preferred knowledge of functional HSE programs such as:
  • Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO)
  • Management of Change (MOC) Process
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting
  • Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
  • Risk Assessment (Hazard Identification [HAZID] or Hazard Operability [HAZOP] studies)
  • Proficiency in basic computer hardware and software for task performance.
Interpersonal Skills:
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Ability to articulate and substantiate own point of view to peers and supervisors.
  • Capable of preparing and delivering presentations and reports.
  • Willingness to learn and work with HSE reporting systems (data upload and report extraction).
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints.
Physical Demands:
  • Potential for extended walking, bending, climbing, stooping, and moderate lifting daily.
  • Periodic assistance with handling chemicals and wastes, either manually or mechanically.
  • Work environment may include exposure to dirt, grease, and dust in workshop and yard areas.
  • Work may involve hot and cold weather conditions.
