Job Description

1. Monitor the workers and ensure they are always working safely.
2. Responsible for assigning safety meetings and making provisions for all attendees.
3. When work changes happen, the safety supervisors update the risk assessment and communicate the changes to the workers.
4. Conduct job hazard analysis with others and provide the document for all to read.
5. Write the risk assessment for jobs with others and submit the document for work use.
6. Make daily spot checks and inspections of work tools, equipment, and site; take necessary actions to correct hazards.
7. Supervise all workers regularly on health and safety matters.
8. Ensure all workers comply with the health and safety requirements of the organization.
9. Provide workers with the necessary personal protective equipment and replace it when damaged.
10. Cooperate with safety committees to ensure the effective running of safety programs.
11. Investigate unsafe actions and near-misses; perform corrective actions.
12. Consult with workers and management on the best approaches to maintain a safe working environment.
13. Ensure all employees abide by existing health and safety rules.
14. Train workers in emergency action plans and conduct emergency drills at scheduled times.
15. Set up safety signs and ensure they are visible to all workers.
16. Provide immediate treatment and documentation for injured personnel.
17. Instruct employees to inspect their tools daily and report damaged ones for repairs.
