Job summary

A global leader in oil and gas is seeking an HSE Specialist to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provide technical support. The ideal candidate will have a degree in occupational safety or engineering, 3-5 years of relevant experience, and NEBOSH certification. Proficiency in English and Arabic is required. This position is located in Al Quwayiyah, Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or the oil and gas industry.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary :

Ensures the facility's implementation and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and the company's HSE Management System.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITY & AUTHORITY :

• Provide HSE guidance and technical support to management and other employees regarding HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with HSE-related legal requirements, including submission of required permits, documents, and paperwork, and maintaining required records and documents.
• Work with site management and other personnel in developing and implementing site-specific practices and procedures designed to create a culture of safety and injury prevention, including JHAs, Hazard and Risk Assessments, Environmental Impact Assessments, etc.
• Document and investigate all work-related injuries and claims; determine root causes and work with appropriate personnel to develop and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Identify HSE training requirements and implement programs that ensure personnel receive required training.
• Lead and coordinate HSE audits and implement corrective actions.
• Provide accurate HSE data, trend analyses, and metrics as required.
• Coordinate Industrial Hygiene programs and schedule all testing, including employee health monitoring.
• Manage the facility's emergency preparedness and response team and procedures.
• Assist in developing and implementing site-specific practices and procedures.
• Liaise with the Corporate HSE Team to ensure a common system and sharing of Best Management Practices (BMPs).
• Provide guidance to ensure the regulatory compliance of the facility's waste management program.
