JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

Ensures the facility's implementation and compliance to the applicable regulatory requirements and to the company's HSE Management System.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITY & AUTHORITY:

  1. Provide HSE guidance and technical support to management and other employees regarding HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
  2. Ensure compliance with HSE-related legal requirements, including submission of required permits, documents, and paperwork and maintaining required records and documents.
  3. Work with site management and other personnel in the development and implementation of site specific practices and procedures designed to create a culture of safety and injury prevention, including JHA's, Hazard and Risk Assessments, Environmental Impact Assessments, etc.
  4. Document and investigate all work-related injuries and claims; determine root cause(s) and work with appropriate personnel to develop and implement corrective actions designed to prevent reoccurrence.
  5. Identify HSE training requirements and implement programs that ensure personnel are receiving required training.
  6. Lead and coordinate in HSE audits and resulting corrective actions.
  7. Provide accurate HSE data, trend analyses, and associated metrics as required.
  8. Co-ordinate Industrial Hygiene program and schedule all testing as required, including employee health monitoring.
  9. Manage the facility's emergency preparedness and response team and procedures.
  10. Assist in development/implementation of site-specific practices and procedures.
  11. Liaise with Corporate HSE Team to ensure common system and sharing of NOV Best Management Practices (BMPs).
  12. Provide guidance in ensuring the regulatory compliance of the facility waste management program.

  3. Good communication skills - verbal and written in English and Arabic.
  4. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Sharepoint.
  5. NEBOSH IGC.
  6. Saudi OSH Registered.
