Job Description
Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and update project-specific HSE plans for building construction projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE considerations into project schedules and workflows.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments for construction activities and identify potential hazards.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize risks to personnel and property.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
• Implement corrective actions for identified hazards and unsafe practices.
• Conduct HSE training sessions for project personnel, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Foster a culture of safety awareness and responsibility on the construction site.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first aid protocols.
• Conduct drills and exercises to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
• Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, and analyze root causes.
• Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of HSE activities, including incident reports, inspection findings, and training records.
• Ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
• Stay informed about local and international HSE regulations applicable to building.
• Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements.
• Promote a positive safety culture through communication, recognition programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Encourage proactive reporting of safety concerns and suggestions for improvement.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HSE management within building construction projects.
• Professional certifications in HSE are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices in construction.
• Excellent communication and training facilitation skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Proficient in using HSE software and tools.
