Job Summary

The role of an HSE Officer in the construction field is to ensure that the construction site is a safe and healthy environment for workers, visitors, and the public. They play a critical role in identifying and mitigating potential hazards and risks, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, and promoting a culture of safety and health on the construction site.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures for the construction site
  • Conducting regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and risks to health and safety
  • Identifying and reporting on health and safety performance indicators to management
  • Investigating and reporting on accidents, incidents, and near-misses
  • Providing training and education to workers on health and safety procedures and practices
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and regulations
  • Liaising with regulatory bodies and external auditors to ensure compliance and certification
  • Conducting risk assessments and developing risk management strategies
  • Developing and maintaining emergency response plans and procedures
  • Conducting safety audits and ensuring corrective actions are taken where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of HSE experience within the construction field
  • OSHA / Diploma in Industrial Safety + Should meet government norms
  • Good English language communication
  • Willing to work in different work locations whenever required
