Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented HSE Lead (H&S Compliance Engineer) to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Prepare detailed plans and lead internal and external audits on behalf of the Client.
2. Manage the execution of internal audits, including scheduling, coordination, and follow-up actions.
3. Coordinate and oversee external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and site preparations are completed.
4. Create and submit written audit and inspection reports, including action plans to resolve any non-compliance.
5. Create and submit comprehensive investigation reports and lessons learned.
6. Ensure compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
7. Advise and assist project managers and other personnel in conforming to the Client’s and Parsons’ Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP) management system and Parsons’ policies and procedures.
8. Audit the project or program and its worksites against corporate standards.
9. Implement Client’s and/or Parsons’ occupational injury and incident reporting and management processes.
10. Initiate and conduct thorough incident investigations and root cause analyses using defensible protocols.
11. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify effective corrective actions.
12. Perform trends analyses on audit findings, inspection findings, and incident reports; create and submit regular analysis reports.
13. Represent Parsons during external regulatory or loss control inspections of project worksites.
14. Assist the Client’s SH&E manager or director on project or program audits.
15. Seek active participation from stakeholders to identify and implement SH&E improvements.
16. Assist with risk assessments for upcoming work and provide SH&E subject matter expertise to work planning processes.
17. Assist the Client and project or program manager with new hire orientation.
18. Perform non-process related, regulatory, and best practice SH&E training.
19. Create and maintain SH&E training records.
20. Participate in routine safe work briefings.
21. Develop and implement site safety plans, including emergency response procedures and hazardous material handling protocols.
22. Assist with regular safety meetings and drills to ensure preparedness and compliance.
23. Monitor and evaluate site safety performance, suggesting recommendations for improvement.
24. Assist the Client’s representative to ensure all safety equipment and systems are maintained and operational.
25. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
26. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

1. Advanced knowledge of Country (&/or Federal and State health and safety regulations and reporting procedures.
2. Advanced knowledge of safety-related national consensus standards (e.g., ANSI, NFPA).
3. Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
4. Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
5. Strong planning and organizational skills.
6. Ability to manage multiple audits and safety initiatives simultaneously.
7. Understanding of hazardous material handling and emergency response planning.
8. Analytical skills for trend analysis and risk assessment.
9. Capability to develop and deliver non-process related safety training programs.
10. Strong skills in writing detailed reports, safety documentation, and audit findings.
