Job summary

Power International Holding (PIH) in Saudi Arabia is seeking an HSE Engineer to support the Company HSE Manager in implementing the HSE management system at site. The role focuses on planning, implementation, evaluation and analysis of HSE activities to ensure targets are measured and achieved.

You will assist in the PHSP and Project HSE Management Programme, coordinate training, advise supervisors on accident prevention, and help lead HSE officers onsite while ensuring daily hazard

Qualifications

Knowledge of all relevant safety regulations, procedures and instructions.
Knowledge of Qatar and International Safety Standards and environmental regulations.
Knowledge of integrated Management System and Pollution prevention initiatives.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in the implementation of and compliance to the Project Health and Safety Management Plan (PHSP) and Project HSE Management Programme.
Arrange, conduct and participate in training sessions, HSE Committee and Coordination Meetings.
Advise supervisory staff on accident prevention and improvement related to work methods.
Assist in leading and supervising HSE officers onsite.
Monitor the execution of HSE activities on a project to ensure HSE requirements are met as per the project HSE plan and HSEMS requirements.
Identify hazards daily and raise observation reports, recording corrective measures.
Address and report daily violations and make recommendations.
Monitor timely reporting of project HSE performance and ensure achievement of HSE goals on project.
Support the implementation of HSE initiatives and participate in safety awareness activities.

Job Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of all relevant safety regulations, procedures and instructions. Knowledge in Qatar and International

Safety Standards. Knowledge in integrated Management System. Strong knowledge of environmental

regulations, including air, wastewater, and hazardous waste. Knowledge of Chemical Material Management,

including management of MSDS.Knowledge of pollution prevention and waste minimization initiatives.

ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.

Job Experience

Minimum 5 year(s) working experience, 3 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
