Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide health and safety measures in a working environment.
• Support staff with the identification of environmental aspects and determining the project objectives and targets.
• Identify and evaluate unsafe environments and practices.
• Identify root causes of safety and industrial hygiene issues.
• Develop hazard control processes, methods, and programs.
• Recommend solutions to issues that need improvement.
• Advise on ways to control potential threats.
• Monitor implementation of safety plans and track safety systems using computer systems and spreadsheets.
• Maintain and manage equipment and processes related to health and safety projects.
• Suggest preventive methods like recycling, waste disposal, pollution control, etc.
• Collaborate with engineering staff, quality assurance, regulatory compliance specialists, etc.
• Measure and audit the effectiveness of hazard control programs.
• Prepare future safety plans based on past experiences and data.
• Work in compliance with ISO 14000/14001 standards and practices.

Authorities:

• Approve work permits (PTW) for any area in the facility.
• Stop work if safety requirements are compromised or if environmental impacts are identified.
• Respond to governmental queries or requests within the organization and obtain necessary permits.
• Coordinate with governmental authorities (civil defense, medical services) in emergencies.
• Access all CCTV systems across the facility.
