Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced HSE Engineer to oversee and manage health, safety, and environmental compliance at our utility-scale photovoltaic project site in Hafar al-Batin. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian HSE regulations, experience in solar project execution, and the ability to implement safety strategies to ensure a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with local and international HSE standards and project-specific HSE plans.
  • Conduct risk assessments, HAZID, and job safety analysis (JSA) for site activities.
  • Implement and monitor HSE procedures and policies across all construction phases.
  • Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training programs for site personnel.
  • Perform regular inspections and audits to identify unsafe practices and conditions; enforce corrective actions.
  • Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; recommend preventive measures.
  • Coordinate with site management, contractors, and consultants to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Prepare and submit required HSE reports, statistics, and documentation to management and authorities.
  • Ensure all personnel are using appropriate PPE and safety equipment in compliance with site regulations.
  • Support the implementation of Emergency Response Plans and conduct drills.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of HSE experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in photovoltaic/solar projects in Saudi Arabia.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi Aramco, SEC, or NEOM safety standards is an advantage.
  • NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, or equivalent international HSE certifications are mandatory.
  • Valid Transferable Iqama (for residents) or eligible for work visa (for overseas).
  • Proficient in report writing, incident investigation, and safety analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).

  • Hafar Al-Batin: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)
