HSE Engineer

HSE Engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies. This role involves identifying workplace hazards, implementing safety measures, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.

1. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance.
2. Safety Inspections & Audits.
3. Incident Investigation & Reporting.
4. Conduct HSE training sessions for employees on workplace safety, emergency response, and hazard prevention.
5. Emergency Preparedness & Response.
6. Environmental Protection & Sustainability.
7. Monitor environmental compliance, including waste management, emissions control, and pollution prevention.
8. Ensuring that equipment is installed correctly and safely.
9. Organize health and safety awareness programs and training sessions for employees.
10. Monitoring and examining equipment installation to ensure compliance with safety policies.
11. Perform regular site inspections to determine the risk for potential injuries, accidents and equipment malfunction in specific work settings or activities.

Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in chemical manufacturing, construction, manufacturing, oil & gas.

Certifications: NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, Kawader or equivalent HSE certifications preferred.

Skills: Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment, and safety management systems.

Competencies: Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

• Ability to identify health hazards and nip them in the bud.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a drive to work collaboratively across the organizational hierarchy.
• Expertise with software products such as MS Office.
• Self-motivated and able to work equally well as a leader and as part of a team.
