JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary :

The HSE Coordinator, also known as Health, Safety, and Environment Coordinator, monitors health and safety, assesses risks, and designs strategies to reduce potential hazards within an assigned workplace or geographic area. The HSE Coordinator manages and trains other health and safety staff members and frequently travels to perform field investigations and respond to incident reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES & AUTHORITY :

  1. Implement HSE Management System
  2. Assist with all site HSE Training, including New Employee Orientation (NEO), OSHA-required training, and NOV-required training.
  3. Ensure knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements
  4. Create, assist with, and review Risk Assessments (RA) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA)
  5. Facilitate HSE Committee meetings and participate in Location Management Team (LMT) meetings
  6. Assist with incident reporting and investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions
  7. Review and file paint logs and monitor the facility stormwater program
  8. Assist with waste management program
  9. Conduct site inspections and assist various departments with inspections
  10. Assist with closing inspection findings
  11. Conduct walkthroughs with supervisors and leads
  12. Conduct monthly fire protection inspections
  13. Provide support to site departments as necessary
  14. Coordinate with maintenance on facility and equipment
  15. Review JHA and RA against job processes to ensure all safety measures are in place
  16. Coordinate Industrial Hygiene surveys with the Corporate HSE Team and ensure all findings are addressed
  17. Perform other duties as assigned

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

  • Diploma Degree or higher
  • NEBOSH IGC or IOSH certification, or B.S Degree in Business or HSE-related discipline
  • At least 2 years of experience in the Manufacturing and Fabrication industry
