Job description

To build you as a HSE Advisor will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Driving and promoting HSE positive behaviors and supporting the Service Cluster HSE operations, HSE awareness and HSE understanding within service cluster and site teams in HSE related matters and the implementation of HSE programs and focus initiatives.

How you ll make an impact

Driving behavioral changes through implementing group-wide performance improvement programs and practices locally to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on environment throughout the respective organization.

Engaging internal customers to raise awareness on all HSE across all functions and responsible for HSE reporting, analysis of hazards, incidents & other HSE KPI s for global service project sites.

Supporting HSE Managers & Site HSE team with the issues related to HSE and participating in routine and non-routine HSE audits.

Coordinating and promoting the effective closure of various HSE origins and related corrective and preventive actions and engaging in incident investigation processes ensuring that causal factors identified have sound and sustainable actions tracked to closure.

Establishing good exchange and collaboration with site HSE team and assist in HSE reporting and sharing lessons learned as well as best practices to all project sites.

Driving and ensuring compliance with Group Management Systems (e.g. ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).

Supporting and co-developing for continuous improvement on HSE reporting and KPI methodology and analysis.

Promoting awareness and training of ISO Management System Standards as they apply to HSE Operations and Governance activity.

Your background

A bachelor s or master s degree in relevant field or diploma in occupational health and safety is required.

Minimum 3+ years of experience as an HSE Advisor in a high-risk industry (ideally rail).

Ability to build HSE capability and safety leadership of managers, employees, and contractors and influencing and drive safe behaviors and performance through building effective relationships and engagement.

Experience gained in a client-facing role highly regarded, resourceful, flexible, self-motivated and well organized and able to multi-task.

Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
