Responsibilities
  • Lead the function or multiple sub-functions on a country level
  • Establish and implement strategies with long-term impact (5+ years) aligned to global objectives and directly affecting the organization’s business strategy
  • Provide input into divisional HR strategy and initiatives aligned to business goals, considering opportunities, challenges, risks, market trends, and geopolitical climate
  • Set functional priorities for the country and align activities to support business goals and influence strategic direction while balancing employee perspectives
  • Ensure alignment of country HR function with regional/divisional HR strategy and plans
  • Drive transformation and change of HR to maximize capability and ensure HR services drive business performance
  • Build, organize and develop the HR function’s team and processes to deliver on objectives across Sourcing, C&B, Talent Management, Learning & Development, HR Administration, and change management
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the business and partner with the management team
  • Monitor deployment of HR strategic plans and achievement of sub-functional goals to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Anticipate, identify and resolve risks to deploy HR strategy successfully
  • Negotiate critical agreements/contracts with other departments and external parties
  • Develop strong relationships with senior business leaders across DHL and partner organizations
  • Influence others across DHL and externally as a recognized thought leader
  • Promote cooperation to provide integrated solutions to problems
  • Lead multiple teams of executives, directors/senior managers, and managers
  • Ensure appropriate talent selection, organization and leadership for major areas of the organization
Education & Experience
  • Education Level: Master's degree
  • HR/Labor Law certification (not mandatory)
  • Experience Level: More than 10 years
  • Experience partnering with senior management/executive level in a complex, multi-country environment
  • Team leadership – small to medium size teams
  • Prior budget management experience
  • Proven experience leading deployment of complex organizational change projects
