Job Title: Histopathology Consultant

SHORT DESCRIPTION

An excellent opportunity to join as Histopathology Consultant for one of the most prestigious and top-tier leading hospitals in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Histopathology Consultant, you will play a critical role in diagnosing diseases through the examination of tissue samples. This position involves analyzing biopsy specimens, conducting autopsies, and providing expert consultations on pathological findings. The Consultant will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate diagnostics and contribute to patient management strategies.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides high-quality histopathology care to patients in this area of medicine.
  • Provide consultative service as requested.
  • Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents.
  • Actively participate in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise.
  • Participate in research activities.
  • Participate in committees and other administrative functions as needed.
  • Perform special procedures as privileged.
  • Follow all hospital-related policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
  • Completion of required training in histopathology/Anatomic pathology.
  • Saudi Arabian or American/European Board Certification or equivalent.
  • Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent, fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required.
  • A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
  • Dataflow is a must.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 3-4 years post Board/Fellowship in histopathology/Anatomic pathology.
  • A registered member of the Saudi Board Council.

Language

  • Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.

  • Positive professional references attesting to the candidate's skills and ethical conduct.
